Russian troops disguised as national police shot Ukrainian soldiers near Vasylkiv, say reports

Russian troops disguised as the National Police drove up to a checkpoint near Vasylkiv, south of Kyiv, where heavy fighting has been reported, and shot Ukrainian soldiers there.

About 60 saboteurs were killed in Kyiv on Friday, the second day of Russia's all-out war on Ukraine, said Viktor Andrusiv, advisor to interior minister.

Meanwhile, heavy fighting is being reported in Vasylkiv near Kyiv. Vasylkiv is a city of 37,000 people some 40 kilometres south of Kyiv. It has an airfield. Russian paratroopers reportedly landed in the city. Ukrainian forces are fighting them.
