Indian student brutally beaten in Adelaide

A 23-year-old Indian student, Charanjit Singh, was brutally beaten in central Adelaide, Australia on the night of July 19 when five men allegedly ambushed Singh following a dispute over a parking spot. 

Armed with metal knuckles and sharp objects, the assailants reportedly shouted racial slurs before attacking him, leaving him with a facial fracture and suspected brain trauma. The event has sparked public outrage and renewed calls for the protection of Indian students in Australia. Meanwhile, police have arrested one suspect and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the others involved.
