Justin Trudeau says he'll resign as Canada PM after new leader chosen

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday that he intends to step down as leader of the ruling Liberal Party and the head of government once a successor is selected. 

"I intend to resign as party leader, as Prime Minister, after the party selects its new leader," the 53-year-old politician told reporters while addressing the much-awaited press conference.
