Budget 2018: All eyes on Jaitley, will he play Santa?

The Narendra Modi government will present its last full budget before the 2019 polls today. The country has its eyes set on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who will leave reach North Block around 9 a.m. and then visit the president to seek a formal permission to present the 2018 Budget.

Jaitley will reach parliament by 10 a.m. And the Budget speech is likely to start by 11 a.m.

This is the first budget after the GST rollout and Jaitley faces a tough task to choose between populism and pragmatism.
