26-year-old woman raped after being offered ride in Hauz Khas

In yet another case of crime against women, a woman was allegedly raped near Delhi's posh Hauz Khas village.

The incident occurred on Saturday night when the 26-year-old woman was on her way back home, and was offered a drop by an unknown person.

The accused told her that his car is parked at some distance and led her to an isolated stretch near the adjoining Deer Park where he allegedly raped and robbed her. A medical test confirmed that the woman was sexually assaulted.

The police have registered a complaint against the accused under relevant sections, and his sketch has been circulated along with other identity details.
