Earlier, terrorists opened fire on a PDP worker - 45-year-old Bashir Ahmad Dar - and his cousin in Pulwama's Rajpura village. Bashir, who reportedly ran a medical shop, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital he was taken to. The two had been warned by terrorists about their alleged political links, and had been asked to disassociate themselves from mainstream politics, sources said.
