Barely hundred days after demonetisation, fake currency notes are flooding the fences once again to reach the Indian market. India Today brings to you an exclusive on-ground investigative report on how the fake Indian currency notes are reaching India from across the border.

We find how Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) of Rs 2000 denomination are being smuggled across India-Bangladesh border through the barbed-wire fences from Malda district of West Bengal.

When demonetisation was announced last year in November, it was expected that the flourishing 'business' of fake currency notes particularly in Malda-Murshidabad regions along India-Bangladesh border will stop.
