Samsung Galaxy S26 series design

Samsung is reportedly planning a significant design update for the Galaxy S26 series. The new S series is expected to get a new unified camera module, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely come with more rounded corners, as well as some new colours.

As per leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could come in a new purple shade, along with other colours such as black, white, and silver. The device is also tipped to be slightly thinner than the S25 Ultra at 7.9mm.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series display

The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to pack a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. While the Galaxy S26 Plus may use a 6.7-inch AMOLED unit. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely come with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display. The entire Galaxy S26 series is rumoured to use the company’s new M14 panels for improved visuals and efficiency.

Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely debut a new in-built screen privacy feature that can block sensitive content from onlookers. Unlike privacy screen protectors, this will work within the display itself.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series performance

Samsung is likely adopting a split-chipset strategy for the Galaxy S26 series. All three devices will likely either use Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 chipset, or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, depending on the market. It is unclear which processor will make it to our shores as of now.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series cameras

As per reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may retain a camera setup similar to its predecessor – a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope lens. The front camera is expected to remain a 12-megapixel unit.

The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will likely also come with similar camera setups to their predecessors – a 50-megapixel primary, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series battery and charging

It seems that Samsung is not jumping on the silicon-carbon battery trend just yet. Reports indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use a 5,000mAh battery, the same as the S25 Ultra. However, the device may support up to 60W wired charging.

The base Galaxy S26 is expected to come with a 4,300mAh battery, compared to the 4,000mAh on the Galaxy S25. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Plus will likely use a 4,900mAh cell.

There are also rumours that the Galaxy S26 series may support Qi2 wireless charging, essentially making it compatible with Apple's MagSafe.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series expected price and launch

The Galaxy S26 series will likely be launched during a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, rumoured to be held on February 25, 2026 in San Francisco, USA.

While we don’t know much about the potential pricing of the Galaxy S26 series just yet, the company may keep it unchanged from last year.

For context, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus started at Rs 80,999 and Rs 99,999 respectively. The Galaxy S25 Ultra came with a price tag of Rs 1,29,999.
