Goa is small but has achieved big: State MP Shripad Naik at SOS 2019 event

While speaking to India Today Group Editorial Director Raj Chengappa at State of the State Conclave (Goa) 2019, Lok Sabha MP from Goa Shripad Naik said, "Even though Goa is a small state, it has still been able to achieve big. "We have been able to control our population growth. It is the key to development. Today, we have a high literacy rate and the lowest poverty in the country."

Shripad Naik, who is the Minister of State for AYUSH, said Goa has great potential to develop as a hub for yoga and ayurveda. "We are setting up the All Indian Institute of Ayurveda and the National Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy in Goa. The construction is expected to be completed in two years..." Naik said.
