Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said Virat Kohli and his men needed to get out of London and reach Nottingham as early as possible to start preparing for the third Test at Trent Bridge which starts from August 18.
India are 0-2 down in the five-match series after losing by 35 runs at Edgbaston and an innings and 159 runs at Lord's. Gavaskar was critical of India's lack of preparations and wondered why the team did not play an extra warm-up match ahead of the Test series.
India have been in England for over a month playing T20I and ODI series but they played only one three-day match before reaching Birmingham for the first Test. And now, a day after a humiliating defeat, the Indian team was still in London, instead of making its way to Nottingham to prepare for the crucial third Test.
