He is one of the big achievers as well as newsmakers to come from New Zealand for a career now spanning more than a decade.

Despite making news for losing captaincy to former skipper Brendon McCullum and sharing an uncomfortable relationship with coach Mike Hesson, many overlook the fact that Ross Taylor averages 45 in both limited overs and Test cricket. Its no mean feat for underchiveing Blackcaps outfits over the years.

The 33-year-old middle order star has also played in the IPL for four franchises including Royal Challengers Bangalore, at a time when Virat Kohli wasn't the standout player he is today.

Taylor in an exclusive interview to India Today opens up on Virat's transformation from a young batting star to being one of the world's best. He also candidly admits New Zealand will have to be at their very best to just compete against the current Indian limited overs outfit in the upcoming series.
