Real Kashmir FC are set to host their 1st I-League game of the 2019-20 season on December 12. Co-owner Sandeep Chattoo said the club is set to host home matches in Srinagar after the abrogation of Article 370.
The abrogation of Article 370 and the ensuing communication lockdown in the valley had raised concerns over the visiting teams' security, but Real Kashmir are confident of hosting teams at home.
Star player Muhammad Hammad, speaking to India Today, said the club is looking forward to playing in front of home crowds.
"We are playing our 1st home game on December 12. The support we enjoy in Srinagar is incredible. It's like a 12th man for us. There is nothing like playing at home. It helps us immensely," Hammad said.
