An impressionist statue of Liverpool forward Salah sparks social media frenzy

A bronze statue of Liverpool's Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah was displayed for the first time inSharm el-Sheikh.

The statue, featuring the football star celebrating with his arms outstretched raised eyebrows across the world and on social media because of its oversized head, skinny legs and small body.

Social media users were whipped into a frenzy by the statue, comparing it to US musician Art Garfunkel and one of the actors from Home Alone.
