Champions League: How things stand after first leg of semi-finals

In a frantic encounter between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the sold-out Santiago Bernabeu, the hosts took an early lead with Camavinga passing to Vinicius, whose brilliant strike from outside the area went into the corner of the net in the 36th minute.

Manchester City, who kept the possession in the first half, found the equaliser through Kevin De Bruyne. The midfielder drilled in with the outside of his boot in the 67th minute.

The 1-1 draw means that the outcome of the tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City will be decided at Etihad Stadium on May 18 (12:30 AM IST).

In the second semi-final or Milan derby, Inter Milan scored twice in the opening 15 minutes through Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the San Siro to secure a 2-0 lead over AC Milan to take control of the tie.

AC Milan will now face an uphill task in the second-leg of the semi-final on May 17 (12:30 AM IST) to stay on course to win their eighth European Cup. On the other hand, Inter will aim to become the first Italian side to win the coveted trophy since doing so in 2010.
