Thanks to Steve Smith, he made me famous: Monty Panesar

Former England spinner Monty Panesar has taken another swipe at Australian batter Steve Smith, saying that Smith helped make him famous through their banter ahead of the Ashes 2025–26. Panesar had earlier suggested that the English media and fans should target Smith and remind him of his involvement in the Cape Town ball-tampering scandal. However, Smith responded by digging out an embarrassing video of Panesar’s appearance on a quiz show.
