Chetan Sharma had to resign as BCCI's chairman of selectors after being caught in a TV sting operation. Chetan had been recorded talking about issues in Indian cricket related to the alleged rift between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli to players apparently taking injections to be fit for matches.Â
The TV sting operation was aired earlier this week and it seemed Chetan Sharma's position would be untenable following his comments which he thought were meant only for private consumption. Chetan Sharma was re-appointed as chairman of selectors last month - he had also been part of the selection committee when Virat Kohli was removed as ODI captain.
