Bright Start, Costly Finish for Delhi - Delhi Capitals began sharply with the ball, as Chinelle Henry struck early and Nandni Sharma continued her fine form by taking two in her first over, including the opposition captain for a golden duck, also making her the leading Indian wicket-taker of the season with 16 wickets. But the control slipped in the middle and death overs, not helped by 25 extras. Amidst all the chaos, Henry finished with a fine three-fer. The spinners did manage a wicket through Mani, yet Kapp could not make an impact, and 60 runs conceded in the last five overs have left Delhi with a tougher chase than it should have been.

A quick chat - Chinelle Henry says this is the third time Delhi Capitals are facing Gujarat Giants this season, and importantly, it is the lowest total they have had to chase against them. She adds that the team is clear about what needs to be done to reach the final and feels they did well to pick up wickets early after the way the Giants started. In her view, 169 is a very chaseable total. Speaking about the bowling plans, Henry explains that it was about assessing the wicket early. The movement was troubling the two batters. Chinelle Henry strikes. A terrific length ball that swung away. Sophie Devine was bogged down after the slow start. She went hard at it, slashing it across the face of the pitch. A thick edge and Lizelle Lee takes a sensational catch. There was gap between the wicketkeeper and the first slip and Lee ensured she covered that gap with a one-handed catch.
