But to get there, they will need a chase for the ages, flawless execution, and a batting effort that borders on the unreal. Someone will have to summon a Sooryavanshi-esque knock if England are to hunt down this colossal target. And for that to even be possible, a steady start is non-negotiable. England will pin their hopes on skipper Thomas Rew, who has been batting with supreme fluency, alongside Ben Mayes, their leading run-getter, to set the tone early. Whereas India will aim to kill the game inside the Powerplay itself by picking up quick wickets and never let England settle in a rhythm. Should be a very interesting chase ahead. Stay tuned.

England conjure a slight late comeback - With the platform firmly set for a blockbuster finish, India allowed the cushion to absorb a few quieter overs after Vaibhav's dismissal. England desperately needed more wickets, but the Vihaan-Vedant partnership began to flourish. It took Minto’s return to finally break the stand and offer England a window back into the contest. Between overs 31-40, England clawed back some control, conceding just 36 runs. Yet, India’s lower order once again rose to the occasion at the backend, with valuable cameos from Abhigyan Kundu and Kanishk Chouhan. England did manage to strike at regular intervals, but the runs kept flowing regardless, powering India beyond the imposing 400-run mark.

A historic alliance - Mhatre and Vaibhav stitched together a 142-run partnership. Mhatre’s wicket finally ended the stand, but it only handed the stage fully to the Sooryavanshi show. He stormed to his hundred and then went into overdrive, needing just 16 balls to surge from 100 to 150. By halfway through the innings, India were completely out of sight at 250/2. Sooryavanshi rolled out one of the most outrageous knocks ever seen in a final, hammering 175 studded with 15 fours and 15 sixes, a staggering 150 runs harvested purely through boundaries, before Lumsden finally managed to pull the curtain down on the mayhem.

England sensed an opening, hoping to clamp down and strangle the innings early. What followed instead was sheer mayhem. And saving their very best for the last, India have posted their highest first-innings total in this World Cup, and that in the one game that truly matters, a statement that firmly puts them in the driving seat. U19 World Cup Live: Kundu departs while trying to accelerate

Abhigyan Kundu has departed after trying to accelerate in the death overs. The southpaw added 51 runs for the sixth wicket along with RS Ambrish off 47 balls. He took on Manny Lumbsden in the 44th over, smashing him for 19 runs. However, he got dismissed while trying to up the ante and got caught at short fine leg.

This is something rare we are witnessing at the moment. Not many players have shown that they are playing well beyond their years, and Sooryavanshi is one of those players who could have a long cricket career. That being said, coming to this knock, it was sheer class from the young lad. Showed that mindset to take this down a notch at the start, but he has since put that behind him and started to take on the ball for the most part now. If this keeps up, we could be in for a big knock from the youngster.
