World Cup 2019: Rishabh Pant replaces Shikhar Dhawan in India squad

Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of World Cup 2019 on Wednesday with a thumb injury sustained during the match against Australia. Rishabh Pant, who was added as a cover for the Dhawan has been named as the official replacement in the squad.

The BCCI now has to write to the Technical Committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and officially request for Dhawan's replacement.
