My countrymen were not willing to lose, so how could I: Sakshi Malik wins gold in Commonwealth Games

Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik said she was extremely happy after fulfilling her dream of winning gold in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Friday.

Sakshi thanked the Birmingham crowd for exceptional support after winning the gold medal in the women's 62 kg category, saying that the loud cheers from the fans motivated her and will become a lifetime memory for her.

"The crowd support in Birmingham has become a lifetime memory for me. The loud cheers of Sakshi and Sakshi gave me goosebumps and motivated me even when I was 4-0 down. I felt that my countrymen were not willing to lose. Then how could I lose? So I made a comeback," said Sakshi.
