Union Minister Jitendra Singh on India's quantum leap in space, Moon mission, more

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Jitendra Singh, addressed the media on India's accelerated progress in the space sector. He noted the rapid growth in recent years is due to adopting global benchmarks and opening the sector to private participation, which increased the number of startups from single digits to over 300. India's space economy is currently at $8 billion and is projected to reach approximately $40 billion in the next decade. The Minister stated that space technology is now integral to every Indian household through applications in various sectors. He highlighted that recent missions exemplify 'Atam Nirbhar Bharat' and a 'whole of government' approach.
