Embarking on a 40-day journey that commenced at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, the Chandrayaan-3 mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has culminated in a triumphant lunar landing.

At precisely 6.04 PM IST on August 23, the Vikram lander gracefully touched down on the lunar surface.

The intricate dance of landing was initiated by ISRO at 5.44 PM IST as the Vikram lander assumed full control.
