The constitutional crisis in Maharashtra appears to have intensified with the state governor rejecting Shiv Sena's demand for extending their deadline to stake claim to form government in Maharashtra.
Shiv Sena leader and newly elected MLA Aaditya Thackeray said on Monday that the Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, has refused to give the party any more time to stake claim to form the government in the state. He also said that his party's talks with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress are still going on.
