This edition of To The Point examines the escalating violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, highlighted by the recent lynchings of Amrit Mandal and Dipu Chandra Das. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday strongly condemned the recent incidents of lynching of two Hindu men in Bangladesh and expressed deep concern over what it described as âunremitting hostilityâ against minorities in the neighbouring country.
The MEA further said India has consistently raised concerns over attacks on minorities and rejected what it called a âfalse narrativeâ being pushed by Bangladesh on such incidents. It added that there have been around 2,900 incidents of violence against minorities during the tenure of Bangladeshâs interim government. So, how long will Bangladeshi Hindus live in fear? How real is the fear among Hindus? Is the Yunus administration doing enough to check the attacks on minorities? Watch as panellists discuss these and more on the show,
