Encephalitis death toll crosses 100 in Bihar

The death toll due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) has crossed 100 in Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. The disease has affected children falling under the age group of 1-10.

Maximum casualties have been reported from Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan visited the hospital in order to review the ongoing situation, where patients are being treated in large numbers.
