Polls during Ramzan: Communal twist or just politics?

The BJP accused some opposition parties of deliberately triggering a row over the Lok Sabha polls being held during Ramzan, when Muslims fast, saying it is a "communal" ploy to divide the country ahead of the elections.

Muslims clerics are disappointed that the last three phases of Lok Sabha election (Phase 6, 7 and 8) coincide with the fasting month of Ramzan and have requested the Election Commission to change the dates.
