After Assam 'failure', why NRC pitch across India?

The top focus on this episode of To The Point is the proposed pan-India National Register of Citizens (NRC). Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday told Rajya Sabha that after Assam, now the NRC will be implemented nationwide.

NRC, which was held in Assam, had left out over 19 lakh applicants. Soon after Amit Shah's announcement, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee rejected his NRC pitch.
