Karnataka Congress brushing infighting under the carpet?

A day after senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar rubbished reports of a brawl between two of his MLAs Anand Singh and JN Ganesh at Eagleton Resort in which Singh was injured, the accused MLA has admitted to getting into a fistfight. He also said that he is ready for a compromise.

He has issued an apology while expressing his regrets for the behaviour.

But, the question is did Congress deny the brawl initially to brush infighting under the carpet?
