Fathers carry bodies of their own kids: In two states, two incidents that scream medical negligence

In this edition of The People's Court with Padmaja Joshi, a case is made for the hundreds and thousands of people across India who don't just have to deal with personal loss, but also suffer indignity in death.

 

In this episode, India Today takes up the case of a teenage boy - Pushpendra - who went to a hospital in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, seeking treatment for a minor ailment. He was carried away - dead - slung over the shoulders of his father.

 

And in Karnataka, a man had to shift the body of his three-year-old son on a scooter from the hospital to his home as the doctors refused to shift him in an ambulance.
