BJP targets Congress over alleged 'assassination attempt' of Karnataka MP

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Anant Kumar Hegde claimed that a 'deliberate attempt' on his life was made by a truck that hit his convoy on Tuesday night in Karnataka.

BJP MP Hegde was travelling in Haveri district when a truck tried to ram into the car in his convoy at around 11:30 on Tuesday night. The truck, however, missed his car and hit the vehicle escorting him. Before the truck driver could run away the locals caught him. The driver has been arrested.

This has become a hot topic in Karnataka which will see assembly elections in less than a month's time.
