UP DGP pushes for ban on PFI over violent protests; mega saffron showdown after Priyanka jibe; more

UP DGP has requested home department for a ban on PFI after alleged links have emerged with violent anti-CAA protests. DGP has told UP's home department that many former members of students Islamic movement of India are part of PFI. DGP office claimed that they have recovered many objectionable literature and materials after the arrest of the members.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday retorted to Priyanka Gandhi's saffron remark by saying that those people who have got the politics in legacy would not understand the meaning of people's service. The BJP leader's comment came after Priyanka Gandhi cited India's deep-rooted connection with the saffron while cornering Yogi Adityanath over his revenge remark.
