A massive search operation is underway for the terrorists who killed five non-local labourers in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam.

The five labourers from Murshidabad in West Bengal were shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Tuesday evening. All the labourers worked as masons and were constructing a house when the attack took place in Kulgam's Katarsu, which is known to be dominated by Hizbul operatives.

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh told India Today TV that Pakistan is behind the attack.

Meanwhile, the skies over the national capital were a smoky grey on Wednesday as the sun struggled to shine through the haze with the air quality deteriorating and slipping into the "severe" category in the city and the adjoining areas.
