Delhi student dies by suicide; J&K police raids Kashmir Times office

A 16-year-old St. Columba’s School student in Delhi died by suicide, prompting his father to file an FIR that led to the suspension of the headmistress and three teachers accused of abetment and emotional harassment. Those named include Headmistress Aparajita Pal and teachers Julie Varghese, Manu Kalra, and Yukti Mazan. The Delhi government has set up a high-level committee to probe the circumstances, after a note found with the student alleged harassment by school authorities.

Jammu and Kashmir’s State Investigation Agency raided the Jammu office of Kashmir Times, one of the region’s oldest newspapers, in a probe over alleged dissemination of terror-linked content. During the search, officials reported seizing AK-47 cartridges and other ammunition. The FIR names senior personnel from the publication as the investigation intensifies.
