As Karnataka Chief Minister enjoys his holiday in the United States of America, back home coalition government has suffered a major setback.
The Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) government in Karnataka suffered another jolt on Monday after Gokaka MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi submitted his resignation from the state assembly. The Congress MLA is the second one to resign from state assembly in the past 24 hours.
Earlier in the day, Congress MLA from Vijayanagar Anand Singh resigned without giving a reason. He is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, news agency PTI reported.
Rumours are rife that at least five more MLAs from the ruling coalition are likely to tender their resignations soon.
