India not taking depleted Australia lightly as tour beckons

Australia might be without Steve Smith and David Warner but the Indian team management is in no mood to take the hosts lightly during a near-two month tour of the country. Starting November 21, India will play Australia in three T20 Internationals before the four-Test series gets underway on December 6.

The three-match ODI series will be played from January 12 to 15.

Several experts believe this could be India's best chance to rewrite history in Australia given Smith and Warner will play no role in the high-profile series of T20Is, Tests and one-day internationals.

"Australia in Australia will always be dangerous without a doubt. In places like Australia you want the whole unit to come together, that is our focus," Rohit said.
