Person of Interest: The Hurriyat Leader

On September 3, 1993, in front of a huge crowd at Srinagar's Hazrat Bal shrine, the APHC - or the All Party Hurriyat Conference - was formally launched.

 

It was a grouping of separatist organizations. As of now, there are some 26 socio-religious political outfits that are grouped under the APHC.

 

But the Person of Interest this week is the stereotypical Hurriyat leader.
