Two incidents of sacrilege keep Punjab simmering

Two incidents of sacrilege have been reported in Punjab since Saturday. At the Golden Temple in Amritsar, a man entered the sanctum sanctorum and tried to desecrate the Holy Granth Sahib. While in Kapurthala, a man allegedly disrespected the local Nishan Sahib. These incidents have given rise to speculations that there could be a conspiracy in an attempt to disrupt peace in the state.
