Kashmir peaceful after Article 370 purge, says Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah, in an exclusive interview to India Today TV on Monday, said that the situation in Kashmir has been peaceful since the government scrapped the provisions under Article 370. He also said that Section 144 is in place only in six police stations in Kashmir. "Situation is returning to normal across Jammu and Kashmir," he said.

On being asked about the alleged detention of former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Amit Shah said that there was no such order from the government. "Farooq Abdullah was not under house arrest; he preferred to stay at his house before PSA," Amit Shah said.
