Decoding Congress's Nyay Patra: Five 'Pillars of Justice', 25 guarantees

The Congress party released its mission statement for the Lok Sabha Elections -- The Nyay Patra -- on Friday. Focusing on five "pillars of justice", especially for women, youth, and farmers, the manifesto promises a legal guarantee for MSP, raising the 50 percent cap on reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs, conducting a nationwide caste census, scrapping the Agnipath scheme, granting statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, and more. Notably, it also vowed reinvestigation into demonetisation and the electoral bond, as well as reinvestigation into the Rafale deal and the Pegasus spyware.

Meanwhile, the BJP accused the Congress of peddling lies through the poll manifesto.
