As massive protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act raged across many parts of the country, Bhim Army chief Chandrasekhar on Friday joined the protest by thousands of people at the historic Jama Masjid.

Later, in the evening, protesters torched a car in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central, near the Delhi Gate after throwing stones at the police deployed to foil their march.
