Battle of Nandigram: Mamata forced to crank up Hindu identity?

The stage is set for the big battle of Nandigram. Ahead of filing her nomination from Nandigram seat, Mamata Banerjee today returned to her karmabhoomi to address the booth-level TMC workers.

Addressing the TMC workers, Mamata Banerjee recited Chandi Path and asked the BJP not to play the Hindu card. She further said, "I am a Hindu girl too. Don't play the Hindu card with me. Tell me, do you know how to be a good Hindu?"

Meanwhile, BJP leader Arjun Singh said that the saffron party has taught Mamata Banerjee "what Hinduism is" and brought her back on track.
