Recovery of hospitality, tourism key to India's economic revival

A contraction of 23.9 per cent in Quarter-1 GDP of FY2020-21 has brought to the forefront the serious nature of India's economic crisis at a time when the country is grappling with an alarming rise in new cases of the novel coronavirus. The RBI's recent report reaffirmed that tourism and hospitality have taken the worst hit as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown.
