Pegasus snoopgate row: Did govt spy on politicians and activists?

Hours after the Supreme Court appointed a panel of experts to probe the Pegasus snooping allegations, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi termed the Pegasus snooping as an attempt to crush Indian democracy.

Rahul Gandhi said, "Pegasus is an attempt to crush Indian democracy. It is an attempt to make sure that the vibrancy of the democracy, the conversation that takes place in a democracy are crushed. So it's a big step that the Supreme Court has said that they will look into this matter. I am confident that we will get truth out of this."
