'Nothing is guranteed': Space scientist on Chandrayaan-3 Moon landing

Dr Amitabha Ghosh, a former member of the NASA Mars Missions told India Today that when it comes to the landing of the Chandrayaan-3's Vikram lander on the Moon, "nothing is guaranteed". He highlighted that it is an engineering mission and it is hard to predict the outcome. 

The countdown began for the landing of the Vikram lander on the surface of the Moon after it officially established contact with the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.

Isro said that the landing process will begin on August 23 at 6:08 pm IST as the spacecraft commences its descent from an altitude of 25 kilometers above the lunar surface.
