Dead bodies mishandled, health system overwhelmed

Videos of dead bodies lying around in hospital wards next to patients getting treatment had emerged from Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

The Supreme Court on Friday sharply criticised Delhi government hospitals after a petition was filed pertaining to alleged mishandling of Covid-19 affected dead bodies. Not just Delhi but the Supreme Court has also pulled up Maharashtra, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu over the condition of government hospitals in their respective states.
