CAA protests: Is police guilty of using excessive force in Uttar Pradesh?

The death toll in Citizenship (Amendment) Act related protests reached 18 in Uttar Pradesh.

A total of 5,400 people have been taken under custody till now and around 705 have been sent to jail.

Meanwhile, around 269 policemen were reportedly injured in Uttar Pradesh and 57 received bullet injuries.
