Bengal showdown: After EC cracks whip, Mamata hits out against PM Modi, poll panel

After the Election Commission curtailed campaigning by a day in West Bengal for the remaining 9 Lok Sabha constituencies, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lashed out at PM Modi and the poll panel.

Hitting out against PM Modi, Mamata said that does Modi think he can win Bengal by force? She added that PM Modi didn't even expressed sadness over Vidyasagar statue being broken.

"Election Commission is running under the BJP. This is an unprecedented decision. Yesterday's violence was because of Amit Shah. Why has EC not issued a show-cause notice to him or sacked him," asked Mamata.
