Attack on Nadda, Vijayvargiya: Who is responsible for the cycle of violence in Bengal?

Mega showdown in Bengal ahead of the assembly elections in the state. BJP president JP Nadda and Kailash Vijayvargiya's convoys were pelted with stones as they were travelling to Diamond Harbour to address a rally.

Angered over the attack, Nadda said the attack was "unprecedented". He alleged that the state has slipped into "complete lawlessness and goonda raj".

Meanwhile, as BJP alleged that the attack was carried out by TMC workers, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that the attack was staged.
