Farmers continue stir for sixth day in row against new farm laws; GHMC elections; more

Thousands of farmers continue their agitation against the new farm laws as they stayed put at various Delhi border points for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday. The farmers say they are prepared for a long haul in this "decisive battle" against the Centre's farm laws which they fear will dismantle the minimum support price system and corporatise farming.

Meanwhile, polling is underway on Tuesday in the high-stakes Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) election.
