Telangana Police stops alleged bid to poach BRS MLAs; BJP's Nitish Rane wants Shivaji picture on currency notes; more

Ahead of the Munugode bypolls, an alleged bid was made to poach MLAs from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Based on a tip-off that three people were trying to lure BRS legislators with cash,cheques and contracts, the Cyberabad Police conducted a check at a farmhouse in Aziz Nagar late this evening.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA from Maharashtra Nitesh Rane tweeted a photo of a 200-rupee note with Chatrapati Shivaji's photo on it and captioned it, "Ye perfect hai!"
